What You Do For Love

I love the Green Bay Packers.  Some of my favorite memories are going to football games at Lambeau Field with friends and family.  Unfortunately my husband  is a Minnesota Vikings fan.  Josh has an obsession with football so his liking for the Vikings is very high. As a Packer fan, I strongly dislike the Vikings.  In October we went to the Packer/Viking game in Minneapolis.  It was a nail biter of game but the Packers ended with the WIN!  To secure these tickets we had to buy tickets to another Viking game, so this past Sunday I was forced to attend a Vikings/Raider football game.  I spent most of my time listening to the obnoxious Raiders fan behind me and the other half annoying Josh by talking about non related football things.

Before we went to the game we went for brunch at a FABULOUS place...Hells Kitchen.  It you are ever in Minneapolis looking for an amazing place to eat, Hells Kitchen is the place.  I always get the eggs and spicy black beans with a side of guacamole.  The mimosas are also wonderful.

Fruits and Vegetables

I absolutely love teaching.  I can't think of anything I would rather do as a profession than teach.  While one of my students was getting dropped off today he told me that he had been thinking about things he is thankful for since we are getting close to Thanksgiving and today he was thankful for Ms. Kristen.

This weeks theme is Fruits and Vegetables. Another exciting things was introduced...the SCISSORS!  To a class of 3 and 4 year olds, scissors are one of the best things ever because they see then at home but can't use them!  I do have one student that refuses to touch the scissors because her mommy doesn't let her use scissors.  I asked her why she can't use the scissors at home, her answer...scissors make her do naughty things.  I had to laugh:) I am pretty sure it is not the scissors.

A Trader Joe's Find

After a great morning of coordinating a 5k run/walk for work (we had 90 runner/walkers!), I headed to Trader Joe's to do some grocery shopping.  I love TJ's and the majority of our groceries come from there.  Not only is the grocery area great, it also has an amazing wine/hand crafted beer section.  The wines are great and really inexpensive.  I have a six bottle wine carrier that gets filled at least once a month!  My fabulous find is Cranberry Chevre.

Since I eat/drink very little dairy this find not only looks delicious, it tastes WONDERFUL!  Goat cheese has become not only a staple of my diet but a favorite.  The Cranberry Chevre taste absolutely fabulous.  It is a combination of creamy goat cheese with a sweet addition from the cranberries.  Josh and I had some with crakers and a sweet red wine.  It was the perfect combination of sweetness.
I also added a picture of some wines I bought.  I can't wait to try them!

This weekend Josh was out of town visiting good friends in Michigan so I had the house to myself.  I had been looking forward to spending Friday eveving by myself enjoying sushi, a glass of wine, and the movie Bridesmaids.  The movie was good and definitely something Josh would have never watched.  It was a great night had by all...me!
